Thalathoor heritage house was rebuilt in the early 1900′s and is home to members of the Kodoth family. The family lineage here dates back more than 200 years . This heritage home has lovingly been converted into a pioneer eco-friendly  homestay in the Kasargod district of Kerala.

A walk around this beautiful property will give you a chance to discover its hidden treasures. Seeped in one hundred and twenty years of history, this house has been maintained in its original form and is a great place to relax. You can beat the heat by taking a dip at a fully operational traditional bath (Kolam),  which is home to variety of fish and also boasts of its very own resident turtle.

Explore Kasaragod with a local guide as he takes you on a guided tour starting at the Kasaragod Saree Weaving center. A visit to this weaving center will transform you to a fascinating world of colours, tradition and designs. It is indeed an interesting experience to witness the traditional way cotton is spun into yarn, and the various dyeing and weaving process which eventually results in the beautiful Kasaragod Saree. Need a lesson in history ? Get a chance to witness the a 2000 year old dance form ( theyyam ) of north Kerala.  Theyyam performers, with their unique colorful costumes, headgear’s and intricate facial art befitting local deities, inspire awe and devotion among people watching. Dont forget to visit the Malik deenar Mosque. Built in 642 AD, which happens to be just 8 years after the death of prophet Mohamed! this mosque is a testament Islamic history in Kerala . Built in a unique kerala architecture, this mosque is one thousand years older than the famous Taj Mahal and also the last resting place of the 1st Muslim of India “Malik Ibn Dinar”.
